Doctoral researchers, supervisors, and anyone interested in comparative law methodology are welcome to attend the lecture. The lecture will be held in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Matthew Dyson<\/mark><\/a> , Professor of Civil and Criminal Law at the University of Oxford, will deliver a lecture on comparative law methodology entitled \u201cIllegal Claims in Tort\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does the claimant\u2019s illegal conduct affect an otherwise valid claim in tort or extra-contractual liability? How do lawyers address illegality in such claims, if at all? The lecture will examine English law and several other legal systems worldwide, with room to explore the Estonian position as well, with some audience participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
