Geopolitical instability, war, ecological crisis, technological acceleration and social polarisation have unsettled familiar ideas of security, progress, democracy and human agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, multiple \u201cpost-\u201d conditions remind us that transitions involve both rupture and the continuing influence of earlier orders. The future, in this sense, is also a cultural and imaginative question, shaped through stories, images, memories, historical analogies and artistic practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The winter school invites doctoral researchers to explore how the humanities and the arts can help us understand such periods of insecurity and transition.
