The doctoral school was launched in January 2024, and the project end date is 31 August 2029. The total project budget is €7 million, covered by the Estonian state and the European Social Fund.
The aim of the funding is to promote the quality of doctoral studies in cooperation between Estonian universities, including support for the establishment of research contacts through interdisciplinary and international cooperation and exchange of experience.
Implementing the activities will result in a high level of satisfaction of doctoral students with the doctoral school events. In addition, there will be an increase in the number of external experts and supervisors participating in the activities of the doctoral school, as well as in the number of joint activities across universities.
The project is implemented by the University of Tartu, with the Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonian University of Life Sciences, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Estonian Business School, Tallinn University of Technology and Tallinn University as partners. The doctoral school is led by the universities’ vice rectors for research.
