SUMMARY:Data Science and AI in Forest ecosystem - atmosphere interactions
DESCRIPTION:14. – 19. August 2024\, Järvselja\n21. – 23. August 2024\, EMÜ \nThe summer school covers topics of Data Science\, sensors\, IoT\, modern technologies in computing on data related to Forest ecosystems and atmopsheric measurements. \nThe event is split into two parts\, one organised at the Järvselja Training and Experimental Forestry District and the SMEAR Estonia station.  In that part\, we will develop in group projects sensor prototypes and deploy and test them on site in the forest at the SMEAR Estonia area. \nThe second part will take place at EMÜ in Tartu and we will build a cluster computer and deploy containerized services to it. These services are ideally linked to the prototypes build during the first part. \nThe Teachers are: Steffen M. DESCRIPTION:/English below/ \nKirjutamislaager Eesti doktorikooli humanitaarteaduste ja kunstide haru doktorantidele\n21.-25. august 2024\, Villa Theresa Rakveres \nKorraldab Tallinna Ülikool\nRegistreerumise tähtaeg 10. august 2024 (kaasa arvatud)\nLaagrisse võetakse kuni 20 osalejat \nKirjutamislaager pakub suurepärase võimaluse doktoritöö või sellega seotud teadusartikli kirjutamisele pühendumiseks. Kolleegidega kõrvuti töötamine ja igapäevategemistest eraldumine loob sobivad tingimused tõhustaks tööks. Lisaks pakutakse laagris võimalust osaleda konsultatsioonides\, mis toetavad kirjutamise protsessi. Samuti saavad osalejad jagada kogemusi ja nõuandeid ning anda teiste tööle tagasisidet. Working side by side with colleagues and getting away from the daily routine creates the right conditions for effective work. In addition\, the camp offers the opportunity to participate in consultations to support the writing process. Participants will also be able to share experiences and advice and give feedback on the work of others. DESCRIPTION:23. augustil kell 10Biomeedikumis Ravila 19-1038\, Tartu \nProfessor Istvan Bitter peab 23. augustil kell 10 loengu teemal “Negative Symptoms in Schizophrenia: Definitions and Treatment”. \nProfessor István Bitteri loeng keskendub skisofreenia püsivate ja ravile allumatute sümptomite mõistmisele ja ravimisele. Professor Bitter arutleb praeguste farmakoloogiliste ja psühhosotsiaalsete ravimeetodite väljakutsete ja tõhususe üle ning tutvustab hiljutisi teadusuuringute tulemusi. Professor Bitter on silmapaistev akadeemik\, kellel on ulatuslikud teadmised neuroloogias\, psühhiaatrias\, psühhoteraapias ja kliinilises farmakoloogias. Ta on lõpetanud Budapesti Semmelweisi Ülikooli\, ning töötanud mitmetes mainekates ametites rahvusvaheliselt\, sealhulgas New Yorgi Ülikoolis (NYU). Professor Istvan Bitter will discuss the challenges and efficacy of current pharmacological and psychosocial treatments\, presenting recent research insights. He is a distinguished academic with extensive credentials in neurology\, psychiatry\, psychotherapy\, and clinical pharmacology. Graduating from Semmelweis University\, Budapest\, he has held prestigious positions internationally\, including at NYU.
