The day seeks to highlight the central role of doctoral education in advancing scientific excellence, innovation, and societal development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the initiative is to showcase Europe as an attractive environment for early-career researchers to pursue research and develop their careers, and to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">showcase the diverse career opportunities and societal contributions of <strong>doctoral graduates<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>encourage&nbsp;<strong>master\u2019s students<\/strong>&nbsp;to continue their career through doctoral studies,&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>raise&nbsp;<strong>employers\u2019<\/strong>&nbsp;awareness of the value of a doctoral degree.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During the week of 11\u201317 May, all doctoral researchers and doctoral degree holders are invited to share on social media what value doctoral studies have brought to them. When posting on social media, the hashtags #EuropeanDoctoralDay and #EuroopaDoktorantideP\u00e4ev may be used.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by the Estonian Doctoral School, one video per day featuring a doctoral researcher from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Tallinn University, Tallinn University of Technology, the Estonian Academy of Arts, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Estonian Business School, or the University of Tartu will be published on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/estonian-doctoral-school\/posts\/?feedView=all\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">LinkedIN<\/span><\/a>.
