The Autumn Symposium will explore the concept of sustainability from psychological, cultural and scientific perspectives. We will explore how debates around sustainability have evolved historically, how emotions relate to the issue, and how and what alternative futures can be offered by forward-looking science education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day of the event invites you to listen to presentations by leading researchers, to think and debate. She specializes in researching conspiracy theories and how they differ between Estonian speaking and Russian speaking communities. She has published papers on (political) humour and its ability to prevent the spread of misinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Dr. Aet Annist, University of Tartu<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Annist is Associate Professor at the Department of Humanities, Tallinn University and Associate Professor of Ethnology, University of Tartu. Her research interests include environmental socialities, climate movements and societal change in the context of climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Dr. Antti Laherto, University of Helsinki<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Laherto is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Helsinki. His research focuses on prospective science education.
