Professor Matthew Dyson<\/mark><\/a><\/span> , Professor of Civil and Criminal Law at the University of Oxford, will deliver a lecture on comparative law methodology entitled \"Roundabout Law\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture considers how law affects the lived reality of actors within a society. It blends methodologies \u2014 functional, structural, and cultural \u2014 with deeper questions about the nature of comparative law; in particular, whether it is merely a method or whether it also has substance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
