\"The role of molecular rapid tests, whole genome sequencing (WGS) and phenotypic drug sensitivity testing (pDST) in the detection and control of drug-resistant tuberculosis\". Drug-resistant tuberculosis as a global problem in general, the general principles of tuberculosis diagnostics, methods for testing drug sensitivity in general, quantitative and qualitative testing, testing options to clarify susceptibility to new drugs, and the roles and possibilities of rapid molecular tests, WGS and pDST are discussed. The lecture ) will be followed by an academic discussion (Q&A) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plenary presentation is conducted by Senior Researcher, Professor Sven Erik Sigfrid Hoffner<\/strong>\u00a0(PhD, Department of Global Public Health, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will be familiar with and orient themselves in the role and use of rapid molecular tests, whole genome sequencing (WGS) and phenotypic drug sensitivity testing (pDST) used in the diagnosis of tuberculosis in the detection and control of drug-resistant tuberculosis<\/p>\n\n\n\n
