Important complications of CKD include CKD-MBD, which, if inadequately managed, can lead to bone disease and vascular calcification. In addition, other body systems can be affected, including anemia, constipation, hepatitis, malignancies, infection, malnutrition, and dementia. It is associated with dysregulation of various humoral mediators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lecture will be given by <strong>Kaj Mets\u00e4rinne<\/strong>, from Turku University Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Learning outcomes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prevalence and diagnosis of skeletal abnormalities in CKD-MBD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prevalence and diagnosis of extraskeletal manifestations of CKD-MBD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Register <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/fBVQhBZs29YjC1hq9\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/fBVQhBZs29YjC1hq9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HERE<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.
