From a biomedical research background in human immunology, she transitioned into graduate education and has driven research supervisor development in two of Ireland\u2019s largest universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She designed and led Ireland\u2019s National Research Supervisor Seminar Series and introduced the first Excellence in Research Supervision Conference in 2023. She is a former Vice-President of ORPHEUS and leads the Universitas 21 Global Research Supervision Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor <strong>Emma Sokell<\/strong> is a recognised physics educator and researcher specialising in laser plasma and photoelectron and photoion spectroscopy. Since 2024, she has served as Dean of Graduate Studies and Deputy Registrar at University College Dublin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is passionate about the role of reflective practice in the educator\u2019s toolkit and actively supports the development of research skills among postgraduate researchers.
