Winter Seminar in Gene Sciences

Estonian Doctoral School branch of Natural and Agricultural Sciences organizes a Winter Seminar in Gene Sciences as part of the doctoral school. The seminar will bring together postgraduate students and researchers working in gene technology and related fields from Tallinn and Tartu.

The seminar is open to master’s students, doctoral students and supervisors.

The Winter Seminar:

• gives you the experience of presenting your research project and results in a friendly atmosphere;
• gives you new ideas and knowledge, listening to other participant’s presentations could help you find new solutions to the problems you encounter in the lab;
• allows you to make new contacts, you will meet postgraduate students and their supervisors from other universities working in a similar field, in a stress-free and relaxed environment.

Programme

To participate, please fill in the registration form HERE, deadline is 3 January 2025.

Doctoral students can present their research in two different formats:

1. 10 min presentation + 5 min for questions
2. short presentations in 3 min lecture format

All doctoral students wishing to participate are asked to send a short abstract of their research to enable the organising team to finalise the programme.

• the maximum length of an abstract is 1 A4 page
• please save the abstract as a PDF file: SENADER_NAME_TALV_2025.PDF
• please send the abstract to Hedvig Tamman (e-mail address: hedvig.tamman@ut.ee).
• - the deadline for submitting the abstract is 3 January 2025.

The seminar will be held in English.
