Estonian Doctoral School for Natural and Agricultural Sciences brings together the majority of the doctoral students and advanced master’s students in natural sciences and agricultural sciences from four Estonian universities -
the University of Tartu, Tallinn University, Tallinn University of Technology, and the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
The aim of the doctoral school is to support doctoral students to succeed in their studies by developing transferable skills, professional development and the completion of a doctoral thesis. It also contributes to deepening cross-disciplinary communication, inter-university cooperation and the quality of supervision. To this end, it organises a wide range of academic events, including writing retreats, conferences, seminars, workshops and training courses. It also contributes to the internationalisation of doctoral studies, for example by bringing international experts to Estonia.
