The Engineering and Technology branch of the Doctoral School brings together doctoral students and advanced master’s students whose fields of research are related to engineering sciences, production processes, mechanics, energy technology, construction, and other areas within engineering and technology.
The branch includes researchers from four Estonian universities: Tallinn University of Technology, the University of Tartu, the Estonian Academy of Arts, and the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
The goal of the section is to provide support for scientific and professional development, supporting the professional advancements of doctoral students, participation in research projects, and preparation of a doctoral thesis. It promotes collaboration between disciplines, as well as academic communication and research networking. Academic events such as seminars, conferences, winter schools, and workshops provide opportunities for doctoral students to develop their research and participate in international scientific networks. The engineering and technology section contributes to the internationalization of Estonian science and the involvement of international experts.
