Spring Doctoral School on Sustainable Electrification and Green Innovation

16/04 18/04

📍Tervis ravispaahotell, Seedri 6, Pärnu

The event will be held in English.

Master's students and doctoral researchers, leading researchers from Estonia and abroad, and industry representatives are welcome to attend the spring school.

The doctoral school is focused on sustainable electrification, green innovation, and the role of power electronics in creating practical impact from research. The program is built around invited expert talks, giving participants the chance to connect new ideas to their own PhD work and compare academic and industrial perspectives. A central element is an industry-led seminar by Infineon Technologies AG, covering large-scale collaboration models and current challenges such as advanced high-voltage distribution and power supplies for highly dynamic loads in modern data centres.

The school also includes structured networking and community activities, including team-building and an evening session from PhD holders to share career paths and lessons learned. By the end, participants should have a clearer picture of key research and industry directions in sustainable electrification, a stronger understanding of how PhD work links to innovation and partnerships, and new contacts across academia and industry.
