Pathways to impact - why should scientists communicate with the public?

The training is for doctoral students in all disciplines and is being held in English.

This workshop examines various ways in which science communication benefits science and society and discusses the role that researchers can take in communication with the public. We will discuss the motivation of researchers and the necessary new skills, such as selecting specific communication objectives, determining target groups, and choosing formats and channels. The workshop also provides an overview of different communication formats for public communication and introduces quality indicators for science communication.
