Teaching Skills Development Training: “The Doctoral Student as a Future Lecturer”

The Estonian Doctoral School for Social Sciences invites doctoral students and supervisors to participate in the teaching skills development training "The Doctoral Student as a Future Lecturer." NB! This training will be conducted in Estonian.

The training will be conducted by Mari Karm (Associate Professor of Higher Education Pedagogy, University of Tartu Institute of Education) and Airi Niilo (Teaching Skills Consultant, University of Tartu Centre for Learning and Teaching).

Topics covered:

• Formal and informal learning – an exploration of different opportunities for developing teaching skills;
• Understanding teaching skills acquisition – discussion on what teaching, supervision, feedback, and assessment mean in a university setting;
• Courses offered by the University of Tartu.

The training will take place on March 7, 2025, from 10:30 to 16:30 at the School of Law building in Tartu, Näituse 20-213.
