In an era of rapidly expanding academic publishing, the rise of predatory journals and publishers poses a serious threat to research integrity and scholarly reputation. This seminar will equip researchers with the tools to identify, avoid, and respond to predatory publishing practices.

Learning outcomes:
The training will be conducted by Kalmer Lauk. Kalmer is a research and development analyst at the University of Tartu Grant Office. He works with the collection, analysis, and presentation of R&D statistics and manages the research funding database Pivot-RP. Kalmer has published several articles on the publication activity of University of Tartu researchers in top international journals, as well as on their success in the global research funding landscape.
