This training will be held in English.
The online training provides basic knowledge of the principles, history, and developments of open science in Europe and Estonia. More specifically, it focuses on the pillars, stakeholders, and significance of open science.
The training will give an overview of the political, societal, and scientific impacts of Open Science. In addition, activities and opportunities related to Open Science in Estonian universities will be introduced. The training will also highlight specific additional opportunities targeted specifically at doctoral students.
Facilitated by: Liisi Lembinen. Liisi Lembinen is the Development Director of the University of Tartu Library, responsible for coordinating Open Science at the University of Tartu and more broadly in Estonia. She is involved in various Open Science projects and activities both nationally and internationally (e.g. Skills4EOSC, OpenAIRE, ENLIGHT, and Guild Open Science working groups). She also coordinates the DataCite Estonia activities.
