Mental Health Series: Managing Perfectionism for Doctoral Researchers

07/10 10:15 12:30

Via Microsoft Teams

This training will be held in English.

High standards are important in PhD work. However when healthy striving becomes too rigid it can turn into perfectionism which increases self-criticism, drains motivation and slows progress.

In the upcoming perfectionism management workshop, we will cover:

  • the difference between adaptive and unhealthy perfectionism;
  • CBT techniques to tackle perfectionism, demandingness and procrastination;
  • how to develop a more kind and supportive relationship with yourself.

Facilitated by: Pärtel Poopuu, who is a clinical psychologist who, in addition to his clinical work, has spent the past five years providing various mental health-related training sessions. Pärtel's favorite training topics include emotional regulation, psychological resilience, and positive psychology.

You can register HERE. Registration deadline is on October 6, 2025.
