Academic Writing Series: The Why and How of Social Writing

27/10 11:00 12:30

Online (Teams)

This training will be held in English.

Join us for a two-part online workshop series grounded in Rowena Murray's Writing in Social Spacesframework. Designed for Estonian doctoral researchers and supervisors across all disciplines, these sessions will help you build lasting writing communities and develop sustainable academic writing habits.

  • Workshop 1 (October 27): The Why and How of Social Writing
Explore the benefits of writing together and learn how to design your own writing group structure.
  •  Workshop 2 (October 31): Building Your Writing Network
Form writing partnerships, practice feedback and facilitation skills, and create a concrete action plan.

We encourage you to reimagine your writing process—together.

By the end of these workshops, participants will:

  • Have a deeper understanding of the social dimensions of academic writing
  • Develop a concrete plan to engage with their ideal writing community
  • Learn strategies to identify writing partners, facilitate writing groups, and implement sustainable writing practices
