Data Migration and Mobilities: Towards a New Research Agenda

The workshop “Data Migration and Mobilities: Towards a New Research Agenda” (8–9 April 2026, TalTech) brings together international scholars to discuss the social, political, and technical dimensions of data movement. The event connects the concepts of data migration and mobilities to explore how the circulation of data shapes governance, everyday life, and geopolitics, laying the groundwork for a new international research agenda.

Doctoral researchers, supervisors, and researchers from various fields—social scientists, computer scientists, human geographers, etc.—are welcome to join the workshop.

Abstract submission deadline: October 15, 2025.

Feedback on the acceptance of abstracts will be sent in November, followed by registration for the seminar. The maximum number of participants is 30. Participants will be selected based on scientific quality and the relevance of their abstract to the seminar’s theme.
