The training is for doctoral students in all disciplines and is being held in English.
How do you level up your presentation design skills? Even with AI at your disposal, it's beneficial to know why some slides wander your mind while others are attractive and easy to follow. Design principles - colors, contrasts, fonts, layout, white space, tone, media content - make them your allies! The course is a theoretical overview with examples presented using Canva.com. Having any account or preparations is not needed to attend.
The training will be conducted by Maarja Pajusalu. Maarja is a digital consultant and trainer with a Master's degree in IT. She has worked as an analyst and project manager in software development companies and as a lecturer at the Pärnu College of the University of Tartu, where she was also recognised by the students with the title Guest Lecturer of 2021. In addition, Maarja has been painting and designing for over 20 years. According to the feedback from the trainees, Maarja is a professional, calm, thorough and individual approach to the learners.
Since 2020, Maarja is a doctoral student and junior researcher fellow in health informatics at the UT Institute of Computer Science and a lecturer in "Data Visualization and Presentation".
