The event is held at the V Spa Hotel and Conference Centre
The conference is organized by the Institute of Technology at the University of Tartu and will bring together doctoral students from several institutions, including the University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonian University of Life Sciences, Estonian Academy of Arts, and Estonian Aviation Academy.
The focus of the conference is to apply scientific research toward the development of innovative technologies. Participation in this event offers doctoral students their first conference experience, an opportunity to present their research to an interdisciplinary audience, and encourages collaboration among universities. For participation, you can earn 1 ECTS credit.
The conference is for doctoral students and their supervisors in the fields of engineering and biotechnology.

The committee evaluates the annotations, and up to 100 of the best will have the opportunity to present their research either as an oral or poster presentation.
📌 Abstract Guidelines
Title of Your Presentation
Choose a concise and descriptive title that clearly reflects the content of your research.
In your abstract title, only the first word of the title should start with a capital letter and the rest should be lowercase.
Main Author, Co-authors, and Affiliations
List the main author and co-authors along with their respective affiliations (e.g., Institute of Technology, University of Tartu, Nooruse 1, 50411 Tartu, Estonia).
Body Text
Maximum of 3000 characters.
Please ensure that nothing is truncated due to character and word limits.
Abstract Content
The abstract must address the following (usually 1–2 sentences per topic):
Implications: Explain the significance of your study, including potential applications of the results or findings and why this study is important.
Key Aspects of the Literature Review: Summarise the most relevant and recent studies related to your research topic.
Problem Under Investigation or Research Question(s): Clearly state the problem your research addresses or the specific research questions you aim to answer.
Hypothesis or Hypotheses: Present the hypothesis or hypotheses that your study tests.
Methods Used: Briefly describe the study design, including the sample and sample size, as well as the data collection and analysis methods.
Study Results: Summarise the key findings of your research.

Oral Presentation Guidelines
Duration of a maximum of 10 minutes + 3 minutes for questions
Format: Slide size 16:9, in .ppt or equivalent (presentation file must be sent to EMAIL by May 5th the latest)
Your presentation should cover all the key points mentioned in your abstract.
Aim to convey your presentation to an interdisciplinary audience, starting with a brief introduction to your research field or topic.
Poster Presentation Guidelines
Format: A0 (printed by the presenter)
