This workshop will be conducted in English.
The workshop is carried out by Prof. Dr. Volker Kuppelwieser (NEOMA Business School & visiting Professor at TalTech). The workshop includes overviews on the methodological steps and hands-on practice on a given dataset. SmartPLS software will be used during the workshop. The software has a 30-day free trial, that you can find here. To deeply understand and learn the method, we will focus on covariance-based SEM, and discuss PLS briefly on day 2. Participants are required to bring a laptop with the software installed.
Participants are required to have basic statistics and quantitative analysis skills (e.g., have taken a masters or PhD level Quantitative Methods course).
The 2-day SEM workshop will cover:
- Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA)
- Structural Equation Modeling
- Identification Issues in CFA and SEM
- Multi-Group Models
Professor Volker G. Kuppelwieser
Volker G. Kuppelwieser is a Full Professor in Marketing at the NEOMA Business School (France). His main research interests are service experiences, aging consumers’ behavior, and customer inclusion. He previously held several positions in the service industry and has 12 years’ experience of industry.
He teaches and coordinates courses in services marketing, international services marketing, research methods, and quantitative methods in the PGE, several MSc, and PhD programs.
He has published in journals such as Journal of Service Research, Journal of Services Marketing, Annals of Operations Research, Marketing Letters, Human Relations, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Service Management, and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, amongst others. He has also given numerous conference presentations and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several marketing and organizational behavior journals. Volker is associate editor for the Journal of Services Marketing and was guest editing for different marketing journals.
