Spring School "A Researcher's Entrepreneurial Journey"

07/04 08/04

Nelijärve Holiday Center

The event will be held in English.

Estonian doctoral school invites doctoral researchers to shape their career paths. In the spring school, researchers who have transitioned to the private and public sector will share their experiences and advice. In the scenic Nelijärve Holiday Center, we will discuss career development in different settings and sectors. We will explore the question: Is a researcher moving into the private sector an entrepreneur, a researcher, or a researcher-entrepreneur? What skills acquired during a researcher’s journey become superpowers in the private sector, and what productivity hacks contribute to completing a doctoral thesis?

The keynote speaker of the event is Mart Saarma, President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, who has successfully commercialized multiple scientific discoveries in the field of cell biology.

In addition to engaging panel discussions with outstanding experts from various fields and networking among doctoral students, members of the knowledge-based entrepreneurship investment community will join for a dinner on Monday evening.
