Writing Retreat

Writing retreat for doctoral students of Humanities and Arts
7-10 November 2024
Pastoraat, Tartu (Riia 22a-2)

Participants can focus on writing their thesis or research articles at the writing retreat. For this purpose, seminar rooms will be provided. In addition, workshops to support writing and (individual) consultations are available.

The Doctoral School covers participation costs like accommodation in twin rooms (preferred are participants from Tallinn), catering, and ordered bus transportation from Tallinn to Tartu and back.

We will be accepting up to 23 participants..

When registering, please make sure to submit a short work plan indicating the text, text part(s), or phase(s) you would like to work on in the retreat.

The deadline for registration is October 29, 2024

Preference will be given in the selection of participants:

• doctoral researcher in the field of humanities and arts;
• doctoral researcher who will be able to participate for the entire duration of the event and who have not participated in a writing retreat in the last year;
• doctoral students who have a clear and well-planned work schedule.
