Writing Retreat

Writing retreat for doctoral students in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Drug Development, Material Sciences) and Health Sciences

We invite doctoral students in medical and health sciences, veterinary medicine to participate in a writing retreat in Kubija on December 6-8 2024.

The purpose of the writing retreat is to give doctoral students the opportunity to focus totally on writing their research article or doctoral thesis and to receive feedback and guidance from supervisors (individual discussions and/or group discussions). Before the event doctoral students together with their supervisors make a writing plan and on the final day of the event analyses will be conducted in order to understand whether the plan was fulfiller and next steps will be planned. In addition, a seminar on an exciting topic (Guest Lecturer) is organized during the event which gives important transferable skills for the personal development of researchers. All participants can share their knowhow and skills and also give advice to each other in an environment which supports their work.

Up to 40 participants are admitted to the retreat. Participants are offered accommodation, meals and transport from Tartu to Kubija and back by the doctoral school. Transport is by chartered bus, public transport tickets or driving in a private car are not compensated.
