Evaluating Community-Based Preventive Interventions: Process, Impact, and Challenges in Implementation Research

29/10 10:00 31/10 15:00

@ Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia, Tallinn

The course is in English.

This three-day intensive doctoral course introduces participants to implementation science with a specific focus on community-based preventive interventions. The course explores how evidence-based practices can be integrated into real-life contexts in a sustainable way and how such interventions can be evaluated in terms of process, impact, and contextual challenges.

Through lectures, case studies, and group discussions, participants will engage with internationally recognized experts and peers to strengthen their own research projects within the field of implementation science.

Doctoral researchers from all disciplines interested in community-based intervention and evaluation research and supervisors new to the field of implementation science are welcome to participate.

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Understand the foundations of implementation science and its application in preventive interventions.
  • Gain skills to design and evaluate complex interventions, considering sustainability and contextual factors.
  • Learn how to apply theories, frameworks, and a Theory of Change approach to their own PhD research.
  • Benefit from peer exchange and feedback on their research challenges.

For those traveling from outside Tallinn, accommodation is available on request.

Please fill out the registration form by October 20 HERE.
