Information technology has pervaded every aspect of human life, in varying degrees. In her public lecture, Prof. Tarafdar will explore what it means to be responsible in researching the effects of technology. Illustrating with research on the effects of information technology on the individual’s well-being, she will identify different conceptual and methodological approaches that can help scholars incorporate the principles of responsibility in their scholarly research on the effects of information technology.
In her meetings with PhDs, Prof. Tarafdar can offer advice on paper development, particularly on topics related to technostress, algorithmic management, human-LLM collaboration, platform and gig work, technology and well-being, etc.
