Show Them Your Science! – Ideas for Process Visualisation

How to design effective graphs for data storytelling? Let's learn to eliminate clutter and make graphs easy to read. Analysis of most popular graph types and best practices in designing them. The course is a theoretical overview with examples presented using Canva.com. Having any account or preparations is not needed to attend.

The training will be conducted by Maarja Pajusalu. Maarja is a digital consultant and trainer with a Master’s degree in IT. She has worked as an analyst and project manager in software development companies, as well as a lecturer at the University of Tartu Pärnu College, where she was recognized by students with the title of Guest Lecturer of the Year in 2021. In addition, Maarja has been engaged in painting and design for more than 20 years. Since 2020, she has been a doctoral student in Health Informatics and a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu, as well as a lecturer in the course “Data Visualization and Presentation.”
