Research Security – What are the Security Risks for Researchers and How Can They Be Mitigated?

25/02 10:00 11:30

Online (Teams)
The webinar will be held in English.

Research does not remain unaffected by global economic, political, and military tensions. Unlike many other fields, security threats in research are often concealed, which makes researchers and their work particularly vulnerable. This webinar provides an overview of current issues related to research security, illustrates the most significant risks through concrete case studies, and invites joint discussion on how to strike a balance between academic freedom and its protection.

➤ The webinar will be conducted by Siret Rutiku, Head of the Grant Office at the University of Tartu. Rutiku has worked in research administration, including on issues related to research security, for more than ten years at both the Estonian Research Council and the University of Tartu.
