Seminar „Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD): skeletal and extraskeletal manifestations“

CKD has far-reaching effects on various organs and systems. Important complications of CKD include CKD-MBD, which, if inadequately managed, can lead to bone disease and vascular calcification. In addition, other body systems can be affected, including anemia, constipation, hepatitis, malignancies, infection, malnutrition, and dementia. It is associated with dysregulation of various humoral mediators.
The lecture will be given by Kaj Metsärinne, from Turku University Hospital.
