Canva Workshop - Show Them Your Science! Create Beautiful and Clear Research Visuals

This workshop will be conducted in English.

The aim of the workshop is to teach doctoral researchers how to create clear and professional slides, charts, visuals, and posters with Canva in order to effectively and clearly visualize their research. No prior experience is required.

During the workshop, doctoral students will acquire:

• Basic knowledge and skills in the core functions of Canva’s interface, tools, and templates.
• The ability to design clear and effective presentation slides and charts that support the professional communication of data and ideas.

The training will be conducted by Maarja Pajusalu. Maarja is a digital consultant and trainer with a Master’s degree in IT. She has worked as an analyst and project manager in software development companies, as well as a lecturer at the University of Tartu Pärnu College, where she was recognized by students with the title of Guest Lecturer of the Year in 2021. In addition, Maarja has been engaged in painting and design for more than 20 years. Since 2020, she has been a doctoral student in Health Informatics and a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu, as well as a lecturer in the course “Data Visualization and Presentation.”
