Intensive seminar “AI Storytelling: Creating the Human Dimension“

16/06 19/06

At Tallinn University

The seminar is in English and is for doctoral students in the Humanities and arts.

Storytelling in academic writing can make complex research more accessible. This practical seminar trains researchers to use generative AI to craft text and visuals that expand their communication efforts, retain meaning, and a human-centric approach while helping them to situate themselves within their field and society in times of technological disruption.

AI is ubiquitous in all areas of media creation. The technology and the tools are evolving at a speed that changes the way we tell stories and challenges academia and artistic creation Since storytelling is essential in the way we interpret the entire social world: how do we create stories in times of AI? In an ever-expanding technological sphere how can the tools of AI be appropriated to bring original, human and engaging stories?

This practice-based workshop consists of three parts: storytelling techniques, the application of AI to storytelling and AI visualization techniques. In addition to the creative and practice-based aspect, the workshop provides writers and academics with a wider perspective on their work and creation.

Register yourself HERE. Registration deadline is on June 1, 2025.
