Physics PhD Retreat 2026

The event will be held in English.
Credits: 1 ECTS
An interdisciplinary seminar where each participant presents their research in a short talk accessible to fellow physics PhD students from diverse subfields. The programme includes invited lectures on important recent developments in physics. The evening programme includes informal networking and sauna.
Format: Short talks (10+5 min), invited lectures, discussions
Learning outcomes:
- The participant can communicate their research to a broad physics audience;
- has gained an overview of the diversity of current physics research in Estonia and globally;
- has established professional contacts with peers.

The maximum number of participants is 30. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to those who are currently pursuing a doctoral degree in physics or a related field.
